On Sunday May 8th, the Young DJ Academy will broadcast a special radio program which was designed & recorded by 10 girls from youth matters in Kilbarrack.

Youth matters is a valuable project for local young people which comes under K.C.C.P ( Kilbarrack Coast Community Project ). This radio program was the result of a short collaboration between the Young DJ Academy, NEARFM & K.C.C.P.

The project was received well by the girls who participated & was delivered over 8 sessions which took place in the K.C.C.P premises & NEARFM studios. In this project, work was done on group work exercises, conducting interviews, selecting music, operating radio equipment & radio program design. The girls also recorded short comedy skits & discussed the Kilbarrack community in which they live.

The Young DJ Academy would like to thank K.C.C.P & NEARFM staff for their support during this project. In particular we would like to thank the young girls who turned up every week & gave the program so much energy.

The show will broadcast on Sunday May 8th at 10pm on NEARFM.
